What does “no history” actually mean?
Pages you visit aren’t written to a history list, and what you type in the search box isn’t kept to be suggested back to you. Close all tabs and the cookies, cache and open sessions go too, so the next time you open the browser it starts from a clean page.
How does the ad blocker work?
It checks each request against a public blocklist of ad and tracker domains, refreshed every week, and stops the ones that match. The counter on the start page shows how many it stopped today.
Fewer things to load also means pages open faster and use less mobile data.
Bookmarks, behind your lock
Some pages you do want to keep. Bookmarks are saved inside AppLock Master, so opening them takes the same PIN, pattern or fingerprint as your locked apps.
What a private browser doesn’t do
- It doesn’t hide your IP address. The sites you visit, your mobile network and your Wi-Fi provider can still see which sites you connect to — that is what a VPN is for.
- It doesn’t make you anonymous to a site you sign in to. Once you log in, the site knows it’s you.
- It can’t stop every ad. A few sites serve ads from their own domain, and those look to a blocklist like the page itself.

Is it the same as incognito mode in Chrome?
It works on the same idea — nothing is kept after you close it — and adds an ad and tracker blocker, plus bookmarks behind your lock. Like incognito, it doesn’t hide your IP address.
Does it keep my search history?
No. What you search for isn’t saved, and it won’t come back as a suggestion next time.
Is it a VPN?
No. It stops your phone from remembering where you’ve been; a VPN changes what the network can see. They solve different problems.
Can I keep some bookmarks?
