When someone keeps entering the wrong PIN or pattern on one of your locked apps, AppLock Master quietly takes a photo with the front camera. Each photo is saved with the time and the app they tried to open, and it stays on your phone, behind your passcode, until you delete it.
How does intruder selfie work?
Turn it on, and repeated wrong attempts on any locked app make the front camera take a photo. The next time you open AppLock Master, you’ll see who tried, when, and which app they were after.
Where are the photos kept?
In AppLock Master’s own private storage on your phone. They aren’t added to your photo gallery, they aren’t uploaded, and they sit behind the same lock as everything else. Delete them whenever you like.
Why the camera is only asked for here
AppLock Master asks for camera access only when you turn intruder selfie on, and uses it for nothing else. Turn the feature off and the camera is left alone.
What it won’t do
- It won’t catch someone who knows your PIN. It only reacts to wrong attempts.
- It can’t take a usable photo if the camera is covered or the room is dark.
- On Android 12 and later, the system shows a small camera indicator whenever any app uses the camera. That is Android’s own privacy protection, and no app can switch it off.

Will the person know a photo was taken?
AppLock Master doesn’t tell them. On Android 12 and later the system briefly shows its camera indicator, as it does for any app that uses the camera.
Are the photos uploaded anywhere?
No. They stay on your phone, in AppLock Master’s private storage, behind your lock.
Can I turn it off?
Yes, at any time. While it’s off, the camera isn’t used at all.
